In order to ensure the highest availability of the complete solution, the recording of Dallmeier systems takes place directly at the encoder and is network-independent. In addition to the integrated storage in the recorder, Dallmeier offers practical and tested storage systems that are designed to extend the operation of the recording devices.

Highest availability and flexibility
The DIS-2/M is ideal for on-site recording. The systems record directly onto the integrated storage and thus ensure a maximum availability even in the case of network problems or failures. All channels are processed in real-time and broadcast quality (MPEG-2/-4), i.e. with 25 frames/sec at PAL resolution (30 images with NTSC).

Archiving
Via the storage systems the data security can be enhanced through redundancies and the use of different RAID levels. Also, large logical drives can be built by combining several hard disks or storage systems. Growing capacities of the hard disks allow for the reduction of storage costs. The specially offered archiving server and the corresponding software enable an operator to comfortably archive relevant sequences as well as protect them against overwriting. Each sequence is clearly labelled and structured, allowing for quick identification of sequences.
